To install the lights you first need to remove the old lights. The whole process of converting your taillights to the more current LED tails should take 20�30 minutes tops. Open the lift gate & remove the two screws on the right side taillight (One screw on top and one on the bottom). Once both screws have been removed tap the taillight on the inside top right and again on the inside bottom right.
Disconnect each of the three sockets from the taillight. Now remove tail light. Repeat process on the rear left side, this time when tapping the lights, tap toward the left on the top & bottom. The reason for tapping the lights out toward the left & the right is to release the taillight from the inner rivet.
Only ONE of the three sockets needs to be changed/spliced. This is the REVERSE LIGHT SOCKET. NOTE: The new reverse bulb is smaller & less watts but because these lens is clearer, the bulb is just as bright if not brighter than the one being replaced.
