I received the Stainless Steel Door Pillars for my 2008 Infiniti M45X a few days ago. We finally have a 50 degree day so I decided to put them on. As you recall (at least for my year M45), the outside door pillars are BLACK yet all the surround trim is Chrome. I really did not like the current look of the those black pillars as it really Looked like another place they skimped to save money on production costs. Looked Unfinished. Now the Kit: This is a four piece kit that comes comes well marked as to Left/right,Front/Rear. They fit perfectly and match the existing chrome color like they are OEM. For such a simple addition , it made a DRAMATIC improvement to the looks of the car as you approach the doors. The quality of the material seems to be top notch as I was surprised as to how heavy they were. They go on easy as they line up with the existing pillar contour and I have complete confidence they will be on the car for years since the back is covered with a VERY sticky adhesive backing. Make sure you do it right the first time as I doubt you will be able to move them once they are on. The manufacturer takes no chances with them getting scratched during shipping or installation as they are double covered. They are covered with a white sticky backed plastic cover which when you remove, will make you think that you just installed WHITE Pillars. My car is white,BTW. Spooked me at first until I realized that they have a second white plastic cover that is VERY sticky and has to really be tugged on to peel off. When I finally got the second layer off, it revealed a VERY nice looking Chrome/Stainless finish. For the low price, ease of installation and the dramatic appearance improvement they make, I would suggest that this is a MUST have appearance mod to the Infiniti M series.
